Master Lessons

Zach Polson will be giving master lessons to intermediate through advanced students at the studio of Brenda Simmons February 14th.


Zach Polson is a native of Overland Park. Zach began studying music at the age of four with his parents. He was inspired to explore the genres of classical and jazz music through both public school and private lessons. An Olathe Northwest graduate, he has studied piano with Heidi Wiens and Carol Leone. Zach earned his Bachelor of Music from Vanderbilt University where he studied with Karen Ann Krieger. As a student of pedagogy he has participated in independent studies and internships with pedagogues Marianned Ploger, Carol Boeing, and Karen Ann Krieger. Zach has taught class piano at Crieve Hall Elementary School and co-founded the MTNA Collegiate Chapter at the Blair School of Music, serving on the Executive board. He will graduate in May from Southern Methodist University with a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.
